4 Stars A solution for leaky bags
This bag used to really make me mad because they are not as strong as regular plastic.
However you wouldn’t be looking here unless you want to be more Earth friendly.
These bags are not hopeless.
The solution for this bags issues are by in large solved by just putting a layer of newspaper
in the bottom of the bag. Trying not maxing them out, ie change them a little sooner and remember to compost the stuff that’s compostable. Keep on doing those little things that help our earth, our mother.
Know that all those little things make a difference.
5 Stars Couldn’t Ask for Anything More
Not sure why some folks are complaining on here about the product’s durability. I have found these to be very strong and very easy to use. Maybe I am just used to my old method which was to re-use plastic grocery bags as trash bags. But these do everything I need and I have never had them break on me and I have loaded them up with lots of trash…some pretty heavy trash. I am careful when I am transferring the bags from my inside trash can to the outside one because I don’t want to inadvertently tear it, but that’s a very small price to pay for using a product that’s not plastic and won’t pollute the environment. I only have two suggestions for this product. First, the perforations between the bags aren’t easy to tear sometimes especially if the bag is folded up. Second, what is the deal with a seller on here charging over $8 to ship a light 3 pack item that costs less than $15. That’s a shipping cost that is over half the cost of the actual item. No way in heck I am paying that fee for trash bags to be sent to my house. Get real. I ordered a toilet on line that came with free shipping. A toilet that probably weighs over 50 pounds and they can ship it free.
5 Stars Curious…
I have been very curious about this product, and after reading the mixed reviews, I still don’t know if they are worth trying. I probably will try them out but I have to say, I think, if you have a houseful (kids, spouse, etc…) and your trash gets full very fast and can be very messy, these wouldn’t be ideal. If you live alone, or with maybe one other neat, and earth conscious person, these would do great. I am interested in possibly using the smaller ones however as a test in the bathrooms, where messy food leftovers etc., wouldn’t break the bag down so fast. Also, I must say, I know if we all do our part in saving this Earth, every little bit helps, BUT it annoys me that products that do sit in landfills for thousands of years will and are still being produced. I know people would lose jobs if we stopped the making of these plastic bags and the like, but when I was little, the paper bags my parents got the groceries in back then, before plastic, were used as garbage bags… and the Earth didn’t suffer. The 80’s may have brought many newer and better perks, but now we are paying dearly for them, and it’s being proven that newer and better aren’t always worth it.
1 Star Nice try, but these bags are total trash
I badly wanted these bags to be good. We do everything we can as a family to create as little waste as possible. Using a bad that breaks down is ideal. The problem is, it starts to break down while it’s in your garbage can. Not only are the bags laughably thin, but they breakdown TOO quickly. They leave a mess behind, making it impossible to transport it from the kitchen to the outside garbage can. Like I said, great concept, but these bags are totally useless. I would NEVER recommend these bags.
5 Stars Worth the effort
Yes these are thin, yes moisture builds up in your trash can over time when using them – that’s what makes them biodegradable folks! With a little care in removal and disposal, and a quick wipe of your trash can before putting a new bag in, these do the job perfectly. If you want a steel toed, tear-proof bag, well it’s going to sit in the landfill for the next thousand years. If you want something that will biodegrade and significantly reduce your eco-footprint, these are the real deal. Put a little effort into your “green” rather than complaining that these don’t take out the trash and do the dishes on their own. The rest of the globe carries way too much of our burden as it is!

2 Stars Great Bags but Made in Indonesia
Don’t get me wrong, the design of these bags is great and the price is right. However, I would like to mention that these recycled degradable bags are made in Indonesia and then shipped halfway around the world. Does this really make this a “greener” bag? Indonesia doesn’t have the best reputation for strong environmental regulations and labor laws. How can a consumer trust that this bag is made in accordance with the standards provided in the product description?
5 Stars Finally!
These are GREAT! They break down in landfills, so my household’s garbage won’t be here on earth longer than we are. They are exactly the right size for my slim-line kitchen rubbish bin, and they are stretchy enough to be pulled to fit around the rim without tearing. In point of fact, I expected an eco-friendly bag to be really thin and weak, but these are sturdy and strong. Plus, I adore the light green color of them. Everyone should use these bags.
1 Star Biodegrading plastics means plastic polymer poison in our water!
How can they think their product is good for us and the Earth? They’re taking plastic and recycling it into these bags, using a formula which adds even more plastic but which allows the plastic to biodegrade into our earth and water system. Listen up! Plastic polymers, no matter how big or small, are poison for us and our earth. These bags are not an improvement in any sense. Stick to the cornstarch based bags, even if they’re not as strong. You might fill them less and use a few more than you’re used to, but you’ll be doing the earth and our future generations a kindness.
5 Stars Love ‘em
I love these garbage bags. Not only are they environmentally friendly but they are great to use. They have some stretch to them and have never punctured yet. They don’t seem to hold quite as much as glad bags but I don’t know if that is just my imagination. Love, love love ‘em.
5 Stars Go Green Strong Bags with Handles Built In!!
I had to reveiw these bags because I was so happy with them. They are just as thick as name brand bags, they are easy on the earth, and save a lot of energy/oil to make! I love the built in handles on the sides and the color of them. I have not had any problems with breaking, but if I did, I wouldn’t have to feel guilty about using two of them!
