Green Brook settles DPW discrimination suit with federal government

Govt pays $70M to City Hall, garbage collection may resume

Garbage collection should resume in the wake of Government paying some $70M towards its rates and taxes for this year. City Mayor, Hamilton Green, yesterday said that Government had sent a cheque amounting to $70 million, which will adequately cover the close to $60M debt the municipality has with solid waste contractors.
