Green Depot(R) (http://www.greendepot.com (http://www.greendepot.com)), the Brooklyn-based supplier of environmentally friendly, green building materials, green products as well as green living services and solutions, today announced it will begin construction on a new flagship consumer showroom in Manhattan on May 1. Green Depot Manhattan will take over the ground floor space in the building that was The 1885 Young Men's Institute at 222 Bowery between Prince and Spring and will open in November 2008.

Green scheme making its Mark abroad
SINGAPORE'S Green Mark scheme for environmentally friendly buildings is going places - all the way to the Middle East, India and Africa, to be exact. The scheme - which rates buildings' environmental performance - is gaining popularity, with building owners from overseas seeking the stamp of approval, Singapore Green Building Council president Lee Chuan Seng said last Friday.
