KCP&L gets a green honor

A sought-after honor for high-performance green buildings has been given to Kansas City Power & Light for its renovated headquarters in the One Kansas City Place building. The companys 12 floors in the downtown building had sufficient energy savings and other features to receive the LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council .
