Many foods contain preservatives to stabilize their contents for longer storage and shelf life. Other products are prone to colonization by bacteria or molds. EARTH DAY 2009 LESS PLASTIC PLEDGE

Last Wednesday, at Oakland's Earth Expo, I asked attendees to fill out green pledge cards vowing to give up some plastic from their lives.
