Mike Green scored a power-play goal 29 seconds into overtime to give the Capitals a 3-2 win against the Philadelphia Flyers last night in Washington. It was Green’s fourth goal of the season.

Avalanche forward David Koci checked Washington defenseman Mike Green into the glass and received a boarding major and a game misconduct on Tuesday as the Capitals won the game handily. Green, third on the Capitals with 32 points, remained down on the ice before he was helped off to the dressing room. He didn't return to the game.
