It’s in the Details: Arroyo Collection by Amenity
Now that I have a whole apartment to decorate, I’ve begun to notice a trend. I never finish one room before trying to move on to the next. The furniture is mostly there (except for the living room, thanks to a move-in mishap), and I’ve even put up window treatments. But none of the rooms feel “finished.” What’s missing is those beautiful little details that give a room personality. My Time in Old North St. Louis
In the Spring of 1991, at age 24, I moved to a 3-room flat on Sullivan Street. It was quite a change from my first St. Louis apartment on Lindell. 14xx Sullivan, May 1991 My place was the one with the green shutters over the front door/transom (right edge). The four unit building didn’t have indoor plumbing when first built — my tiny bathroom had been built into a corner of the middle room. The only sink was in the kitchen. Soooo…..since the moment we came back from the North Fork last weekend, Mark and I have been painting, reorganizing, painting, going to Ikea, putting together Ikea furniture, painting, and going to Ikea again (3 freaking times in a week!).
