Oregon to require 2% biodiesel blend
Written on July 28, 2009 Oregon Live reports that beginning Aug. 1, with a few exceptions, diesel fuel in nine northwest Oregon counties will be required to contain at least 2% biodiesel. State officials say biodiesel produces fewer harmful emissions than regular diesel and is a renewable energy source produced in part by Oregon farmers, rather than by foreign sources.
